Just Imagine:
You Can Save the World
Jesus told St. Faustina, "My daughter, encourage souls to say the Chaplet which I have given to you. It pleases Me to grant everything they ask of Me by saying the Chaplet. … Write that when they say this Chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between My Father and the dying person, not as the just Judge but as the merciful Savior." 1 St. Faustina's experiences, recorded in her Diary, make it clear that one does not have to be at the bedside physically - for the spirit, space does not exist.
Jesus also said, "The prayer most pleasing to Me is prayer for the conversion of sinners. Know, My daughter, that this prayer is always heard and answered … When you say this prayer, with a contrite heart and with faith on behalf of some sinner, I will give him the grace of conversion. This is that prayer: 'O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of Mercy for us, I trust in You.'". 2
How wonderful it would be if we lived in a world filled with the Love of God and with the Spirit of Mercy. Jesus tells us that we do not have to be victims of political manipulation and a society of sin - that He has given us the power to change our world.
According to the Center for Disease Control, on average, in non-coronavirus times, approximately seventy-seven hundred souls die each day in the USA. That means that if the Divine Mercy Chaplet is said each day for each of these dying souls then our entire nation could be saved. Certainly, seventy-seven hundred people could be found, or are already engaged in our local community, to pray the Chaplet once each day for a dying soul in need of God's Mercy.
Seventy-seven hundred is a very small army considering the population of our country. Recall that God only sent 300 soldiers with Gedeon to defeat the Midians and the Ameleks. And that God sent Joshua to defeat Jerico by processing the Arc of the Covenant, sounding trumpets, and prayer.
And if each of us prayed Jesus' prayer for the converaion of a sinner,
( "O' Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus
as a fount of Mercy for us, I trust in You." ) 3
then, in time, our world would be a much better place. And if there were such a change in the US there would certaintly be a corresponding change in the world.
A Jewish proverb says, "A person who saves one life, in time, saves the whole world." Jesus promises each of these souls, immersed in our prayer, the grace of conversion. I take that to mean that he gives the knowledge, motivation, and the opportunity for conversion. Of course, not violating free will, an individual has the option to reject it all. However, God, and His angels can be very persuasive. These are promises of Christ. All that is necessary for us to save dying souls and spark conversions is our faith, our contrite heart, and our prayer.
A world filled with the Love of God and the Spirit of Mercy - just imagine …
